Potassium Bromide
Potassium bromide, KBr, is a very soft, water soluble crystal. Potassium bromide is the most commonly used material for infrared spectrometry where moisture sensitivity is not an issue.
Properties:
- Transmission range of 0.23µm to 25µm
- Refractive index ~1.5
- Should be kept clear of any moisture
